This article analyzes the formation and development o f the historical theme in Uzbek cinema, as well as the specific features o f representing historical figures and national images on screen. The study examines the transformation o f historical reality into cinematic language through the films Alisher Navoi (1947) by Komil Yormatov, Abu Rayhan Beruni (1974) by Shukhrat Abbasov, and Imam Abu Isa Muhammad al-Tirmidhi (2019) by Abduhalil Mignarov. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the characters o f historical figures, the national environment, the spirit o f the period, dramatic conflict, acting performance, and visual solutions in these screen works.
